Summer Safety Tips

Summer means fun in the sun. To help you enjoy the warm weather and longer days, here are some helpful tips to help keep your children healthy and safe:

  • Apply sunscreen at least 30 minutes before going outside and use sunscreen even on cloudy days. The SPF should be at least 15 and protect against UVA and UVB rays.
  • Games or practices in the heat should be shorter than usual, with frequent water breaks.
  • Be sure to supervise your children on playground equipment.
  • Make sure your child wears a helmet on every bike ride and while skateboarding.
